The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Quimper has been responsible for the management and running of Quimper Cornouaille airport and its supporting services, since its creation in 1932. Development of the airport is supported by local authorities, which allows the people of Cornouaille to benefit from an airport facility in close proximity which offers regular flights.
Apart from the commercial and technical installations, the site also houses freight offices, a flying club, and the regional base of the "Sécurité Civile" (emergency services dealing with natural disasters, bomb disposal etc.)
