Quimper Cornouaille Airport is the ideal point of entry into Brittany, being less than five minutes from Quimper, which is classified as a city of art and history. It is also close to the ports of Concarneau, and Douarnenez, as well as those in the Pays Bigouden (region of Pont l’Abbé), and is not far from the seaside resorts of Benodet and Fouesnant.

Cornouaille has a rich cultural heritage and indeed this area is very representative of Brittany as a whole. By travelling a short distance from the Gothic cathedral in Quimper to the walled city of Concarneau, through the numerous museums and exhibitions tracing the history of painters from the Pont-Aven school, Breton culture is brought alive for today’s visitors.
